I made an appointment for service online a month before the actual service date. I received the confirmation email and text stating that the appointment was confirmed. The service was for 2 new front tires and to repair some minor curb damage on one of the wheels. I said that I will wait for the car while the work is performed, and that I have the rim and tire package which covers such repairs. In the following weeks prior to the actual appointment, I received 2 more texts and 2 more emails reminding me about the upcoming appointment for Tuesday at 9am. When I arrived at the dealership for my service appointment, I am then told by the service consultant that the rim has to be sent out and that i can not wait for the vehicle. I expressed how frustrated I was because I said I wanted to wait for the car when I made the online appointment a month ago. I was then told that they don’t read online appointments. I was told I can make another appointment for a loner car or they can give me a ride home. I said I’m here now, I’ll take the ride home. The service advisor then said that the rim should be done tomorrow. I replied, so tomorrow or the next day? He said yes, sometimes 2 days. Wednesday sometime way after 9am, (over 24 hours since I dropped off the car) I received a text stating that the rim is being repaired and will be done on Thursday. On Thursday I sent a text asking the status of the rim? He texted back saying it will be done at 2pm. I pickup the car on Thursday at 2pm and again expressed my frustration. They advised that they didn’t know the rim had to be sent out. You are a car dealership that does rims and tires all day long and then tell the customer that they didn’t know the rim had to be sent out? That is ridiculous to say the least. I hope in the future you start to read EVERY online appointment and get back to the customer with any discrepancies that may arise instead of sending bogus reminders. Below are some photos of how poor the rim looks after getting the car back. Unacceptable repair job in my opinion. What are those lines in the rim? If it was just repaired, why are there chips and scratches still on the rim that weren’t there prior? Also, there was dirty hand marks on my drivers side door when I picked up the vehicle. Poor attention to detail. Poor quality. Poor experience overall. I will give a positive review to the gentleman that drove me home. Very nice kid. Good conversation.
I had an amazing experience here with Dawn, one of the sales representatives. I came in with my mom looking for a car, after just going to Lexus. We had a very poor experience there and did not feel we were treated with respect. The second we walked in the door at BMW, Dawn greeted us immediately and was incredibly accommodating and friendly the entire time. My mom is handicapped and was looking for a car that she would be able to drive comfortably in. Dawn was so patient, treated her with respect, and went above and beyond. She gave us her cell phone number and we were able to text with her about updates, and when the car was ready, she personally walked through everything with us until we were satisfied with all of the features and felt comfortable. I could not be more impressed with her and truly appreciate all she did for us. Thank you Dawn!!
We found Competition BMW after long hours of searching for the right car and visiting four other dealerships, including 2 for BMW. From the start all the way to delivery, this dealership has been nothing short of amazing. Ordered an M4 with them and throughout the process I was kept informed with the status and where abouts of the car. Any questions I had, my client advisor, Johnathan F. (JT), and the sales manager, Mo S. always picked up my calls and went the extra mile for me. These guy really made this experience amazing for me. Highly recommend them.
Excellent dealership. Sales manager Moe, and salesperson Moe were both amazing to work with. Ordered my new 3 series, they were both In touch me through every step of the way. When I came car was detailed nothing was wrong and finance manager Adam made all the paperwork extremely easy. 5/5 stars. Will be a customer for life at competition bmw! Honest hardworking people here!
Jackie was great. She called when she said she would and is always helpful, pleasant, and informative. However, she called out on Monday and I didn't hear from anyone, I could not get in touch with anyone, and no one called me back. I tried all the options and made many attempts. My car was with BMW from Friday until Tuesday before I could ascertain the cost of the proposed repair. I picked up the car on Tuesday and was told the car would be brought up, so I waited outside. After 15 minutes I went inside to inquire if there was a problem. They had my keys and my car was in front but they let me stand outside waiting. They knew I was waiting but just left me outside. I have never had a problem before but I was very disappointed with this visit.
Purchased my leased BMW 330i last February.and returned to Competition for my first service as owner. Greg Box did a nice job walking me through the service items he recommended for me. He also got me into a loaner car even though I did not reserve one. Car ready when promised. Although service was pricey, willing to spend to take good care of a valuable piece of machinery.
Correction….Dawn C. is a very nice and professional sales rep. I recommend Dawn when visiting the showroom for your next or first vehicle. She is the best! I worked with her for months. She knew exactly what I was looking for and soon as it came in she called me immediately. She was very patience from beginning until the end of driving off the lot. Thank you again Dawn for everything. However, the reason for the 2 star is for Competition BMW of Smithtown. It has absolutely nothing to do with Dawn. Please shop around for the best deals and promotions when making your decisions. This is my fourth family BMW and I didn’t receive anything. From promotions, loyalty rewards, value customer, gifts etc.
